Americas Best Value Inn - Tulsa West (i-44)

This is a working-class hotel, and it tends to be quiet during the day since many guests are workers. That’s nice when you’re staying several days and don’t want crowds. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, and both the room and property were clean. The owners were wonderful, especially accommodating and helpful with our stay during the snowstorm because of our living situation. The front desk was willing to work things out with us and was very helpful, as long as you’re respectful. I’d highly recommend it if you’re in the Oakhurst area.

This was my first stay at a Sonesta property, and the room left me unsure about booking with them again. It was fairly clean, but chips and nicks in the furniture made it look worn and untidy. There were no USB connections and very few outlets for charging electronics. Getting into the room took an extra ten minutes because the key card wouldn’t work. The front desk person and manager ended up assigning me a different room. I don’t think I’m likely to stay with them again.

The room wasn’t awful, but it was only so-so clean and looked nothing like the photos. I paid a bit extra because the pictures made the place look much nicer than other nearby options. For the room I actually got, I could have saved $30 at one of the surrounding motels. It felt like a cheap motel, which it is, and the photos gave me the wrong idea about what I was paying for.

The rooms have big showers, comfortable beds, lots of space, plus a fridge, microwave, and large TV. The pool is a big reason I come back every week or two, sometimes just for a day, and the price is great. The place is always clean, which matters a lot to me. The staff are friendly and respectful, and they remember me whenever I walk in. I’ve never had any trouble. It’s a peaceful place for a night and a swim, and right now it’s my favorite home away from home. I also asked about a job, and they took my information. Thanks for treating me so well.
