Coquina On The Beach

I’ve been coming here for at least 30 years. The water is fantastic, the location is wonderful, and the staff are superb. It’s family oriented, clean, and the rooms are huge, more like efficiency size. The price is competitive. It isn’t the Ritz, which is down the road. If you bring a portable BBQ like I do, you can grill in the courtyard almost every night.

Tom, the manager, was often around cleaning the pool and checking that guests were looked after. Housekeeping came every day and made sure we had what we needed, and our room was spacious, clean, with plenty of room for our belongings. We arrived late at night, and the person checking us in was friendly and glad to answer questions since this was our first visit. We’re planning to return next year.

We loved being able to walk straight from our room, along the hall, and onto the beach to look for shells as the sun came up. St. Armands Square was an easy, pleasant 15-20 minute stroll, and parking there can be hard to find. Our room was extremely clean and roomy, with more storage than I could believe. The kitchen also surprised us with its pots, pans, glasses, flatware, and more. The staff were lovely. My husband and I would stay here again if we're back in Sarasota.

We’ve been coming here for years and have so many good memories. The rooms are clean, the views are beautiful, and the staff are wonderful. Best spot on Lido Beach, a real hidden gem. It’s dog friendly too, which is a bonus. See you next time! ❤
