Hampton Inn & Suites Sarasota/Bradenton-Airport, FL

Don’t count on airport pickup. They expected us to serve them as customers, and left my 66-year-old mother to walk to the hotel instead of giving us a ride. They don’t answer the phone, and when they do, they yell at you and their own people.

Parking was free despite the hotel being so close to the airport. I saw an airport shuttle outside, and there’s an airline departure screen in the lobby. I’m often on the road for work and stayed here three nights recently. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet, breakfast was hotel-good, with waffles and omelets, and everyone at the front desk was very helpful. I’ll definitely return.

The location near the airport was pretty convenient, and it was a nice place to stay overall. Rooms were pleasant and well maintained, and staff were nice, though they could be more attentive. There was often nobody at the desk, and I once waited ten minutes for someone to show up. The pool was cold and in just okay condition.

The renovation left the rooms clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind. But I was here for a week of work and never had internet. Their lack of initiative in fixing the WiFi was really frustrating. Being near the airport also meant cell service was inconsistent, and there’s nothing within walking distance. It made for a difficult work trip.
