Siesta Inn

Our stay was frustrating from start to finish. The room had dirty linens and bedding, and the floor turned our feet black. There was also exterior painting underway, with no signs warning us. Our newly purchased vehicle, just two days old, ended up covered in a healthy layer of overspray. The front desk (owner?) guy denied responsibility, apparently because he thought the contractor should have posted signs. The painter guy was amazing, very kind, and willing to cover any damage, but he shouldn’t have to. I also can’t get our room deposit back because of my husband’s service animal. In my state, we don’t have to disclose a service animal at a motel in advance, so I accept that I should have checked how it worked here. But the dog does perform the required service and caused no damage to the room or grounds. We even extended our stay another night, and nobody mentioned the dog then either. The booking information and nonexistent website didn’t say a deposit was required. Are hotels soon going to ask what prescriptions we take in case they find a pill bottle? I’ll file a complaint with the DoJ about the service animal issue and tell people to spend a bit more and go somewhere else.

The shower was dirtier than the street, and the bed was so itchy I chose to sleep in my car. This dump is worse than anywhere I’ve stayed. The air conditioner looked older than me, and I’m 30, and it was obvious it had never been maintained. A homeless person would literally sleep better here. I wouldn’t recommend this pigsty to anyone.

The room was clean, but it needs renovation to feel nicer. For the quality you get, the price doesn’t seem right.
