The Westin Sarasota

Sandra did a great job cleaning our room and making the bed, and the gym was well equipped, with good ventilation and plenty of machines. The rooftop pool and bar on the 19th floor were also a nice place to pass the time. Our stay still felt like a five star experience, though there were a few things to know about room 1809. We’d asked for an upgrade and got a spacious room, but traffic noise carried up from below. The bathroom was right by the bed, and flushing the toilet was loud. The room was also below the rooftop pool and bar, so we heard furniture being moved around at about 10:30 to 11 at night. Elevators can stop at any floor without using a room key. Check-in was a little confusing. We arrived around 2:30, and Maria said the room would be ready in a few minutes and that she’d call. We went up to the rooftop to wait, but by 3:30 we still hadn’t heard, so we went back down. Maria then said it wouldn’t be ready until the 4 p.m. check-in time. We checked out the gym, and at 3:45 got a call that the room was ready.

Breakfast was a highlight for us. We ate there twice and liked the continental selection, the service, and having options for either a quick meal or a slower breakfast. The rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant were another standout. Our room was updated, spotless, and very comfortable. The whole hotel was clean and well cared for, and everyone we dealt with, from housekeeping and the front desk to valet, was friendly and professional. We’d happily stay at The Westin Sarasota again and recommend it to visitors.

We went for lunch at the rooftop restaurant At the Westin, and Tacoma took care of us. His name stuck because Tacoma is my hometown. He was really friendly and quick. The view was amazing, and next time I’d like to come for dinner and see it at night. We could watch cars going around the roundabout toward Lido Key in Saint Armands, and the other car is

Maria Anderson made a real difference to our stay. She handled our reservation smoothly, accommodated us so well, and took time to explain the Marriott resort’s resources and amenities. We really appreciated her help and will come back with more friends next time. The location is magnificent, and the rest of the team were respectful, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. We had a wonderful experience from the moment we reached the front desk.
