Saratoga Garden Motel

We came for a concert at SPAC and found the place easy to locate, close to the venue, and simple to check in and out of. The rooms were nice, and they didn't raise the rate just because of the concert like the other local hotels did. I'd recommend it and would happily stay again.

Nice setting, but I'm frustrated and exhausted. There was too much noise from the neighbors at 1 am, and it seemed like nobody was on site. The one staff member I met, a housekeeper, was very friendly and accommodating. There was a coffee maker but no coffee, and the only seat was a hard desk chair. The place feels outdated. At $177 plus tax, two nights came to almost $500. The best thing is the Kettle diner across the street. I can't answer “How would you describe this motel?” because none of the choices let me say anything negative. Am I supposed to go out at 1 am and ask people to turn the TV down? I'm frustrated and freaking tired. No Saratoga Garden Motel, I won't be back.

There were two single beds in our room, although the picture showed two doubles. I should've looked more closely, but showing a room with double beds when it has singles is definitely misleading. On top of that, when we arrived for a late check-in, there wasn't a single towel, not even a washcloth or hand towel. I understand things happen, but after I called at 11 PM to ask about towels, I didn't hear back until 8:30 AM to find out if I'd get any. There's a coffee maker, but no coffee. The whole stay was underwhelming, and it wasn't cheap.

The location is great, but there seems to be no management or staff around when you need help. We had the same two bath towels for our 4 night stay, with nobody to ask for more. The room did have a blow dryer, iron, mini-fridge, and microwave, but not even a basic coffee maker. We had to shower, dry off with dirty towels, then walk across the road for coffee. Horrible management.
