Riviera Motor Lodge

The riverfront location was great, and sitting by the fire pit was ace. We also got free equipment rental, which was a nice surprise. We didn’t get to use the bikes, but the boys tried out the fishing gear. Our room at the Riviera Motor Lodge was spacious, with a fridge, coffee, a big, excellent television, and very comfortable beds. The staff were awesome, helpful in a low-key way and friendly. The stay exceeded my expectations. I’m from England, so I won’t be in Saratoga often, but if I do come back, I’ll definitely stay at the Rivera.

It’s a lovely little place right on the river, and you can walk to shops, restaurants, and groceries. My room was clean, though it was small and the toilet ran every couple of hours. Still, I had a great experience and would come back. It’s very pet friendly too, which earns extra points from us.

We were only passing through and stayed one night, but I wish we’d booked longer. The room was large, clean, and modern, with a balcony overlooking the river. In the morning, deer were feeding outside. There was a barbecue and fire pit, though we ate at the pub, which was good and the only food place open on Sunday evening. It was convenient for our drive over the snowy range and on to Laramie and Cheyenne.

The riverside setup is great, with a big patio, seating, and an evening fire. There are picnic tables on the lawn and a gas grill for guests, plus games, snowshoes, bikes, and other activities. There’s lots of parking, including space for trailers and trucks. We saw two huge logging trucks with plenty of room to park. The Riviera has improved lately. Our room was small but nice and looked clean and fresh; my brother’s room had a table. I recommend staying here.
