Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Clovis

Nansi, the front desk manager, was welcoming and kind, and that made a real difference. A good stay can depend on the people you interact with as much as the location. The place was clean and comfortable, and it’s conveniently located for travelers crossing the state. I’ll be back!

The facilities were convenient, and the rooms and grounds were clean. I did laundry while I was there, and the machines were modern, efficient, and clean. The laundry room itself was spotless too. If you need a room in Clovis, you won’t regret choosing Fairfield!

For my family event, the location was very central for most of the places I needed to go, and the reception staff, breakfast team, and maid were pleasant or helpful when I asked. Still, I expected more from a Marriott owned hotel, and this wasn’t the worst place I’ve stayed, but I wouldn’t rush back. I booked because I was traveling with my grandchildren and wanted the pool, but it was closed by the state of New Mexico even though the website still said it was available. That was disappointing. In our family room, the kids found men's underwear, a brush, and a metal straw. One TV never worked, and the elevator and third floor smelled of cigarette smoke throughout the week.

My husband needed to copy a presentation for a talk, but the attendant gave us yet another excuse, saying the computer didn’t work and there was an Office Report up the street. By then we’d already had several problems. We arrived after driving in from another state on a very cold January weekend, and our room was cold because the heater wasn’t working. We were told maintenance was on duty, then eventually moved to another room where the refrigerator didn’t work. The attendant kept offering excuse after excuse. The name went on before the quality did. There are a lot of issues that need to be addressed.
