AC Hotel Cincinnati at The Banks

We stayed one night and had nothing negative to say. Room 505 had a wraparound corner balcony overlooking the stadium and river, and waking up to the ballpark right there was pretty cool. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. Check-in was quick, valet easy, and the staff friendly. The location is hard to beat for downtown access or sports. Great American Ball Park is right next door in The Banks, Paycor Stadium is a few blocks away, and the riverfront and central business district are steps away. The weather didn’t cooperate, though the rooftop looked great, so I’ll check it out next time. One small suggestion: more streaming options on the TV. I had to watch a Peacock-only basketball game on my phone. Not a big deal, just a nice addition. I’d absolutely stay again, hopefully with better weather and a ballgame.

The staff were super kind and helpful, and the river walk is right out the front door. We had nice views and a delicious, high-quality breakfast for around $20, with an entree and buffet, tasty tea choices, and espresso-based coffee. The gym is excellent too, with both a cable machine and a stairstepper. I’ll definitely stay again. Parking was the one downside: there’s no street parking at all, and the closest garage, on the same block, was about $26 a night.

We parked once and didn’t need to move the car again. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel worked perfectly for us, with a small evening bar for cocktails and small plates plus breakfast in the morning. The hotel was nice and clean, and well placed for an event at the ballpark or arena. Staff were very nice too. I’d forgotten my phone charging cord, and someone let me borrow one.

We stayed two nights and check-in was smooth. The location really can’t be beat, but the room had a few disappointments. We’d expected a bridge view and instead faced the alley by the bar and restaurant. The bed felt quite firm to me, the lights often malfunctioned, and the heating and air conditioning didn’t work properly. My wife also missed having a makeup mirror.
