Dinner brought everyone together at the big shared table, swapping stories when the bell rang. The meals were great, and the wranglers kept chatting with us by the campfire each night. We ended the evenings looking at the stars in the quiet. Logan and I also spent plenty of time with the animals, playing Skip-Bo and tossing a baseball around. A friendly dog was always up for fetch, there were cats keeping the critters away, and of course the horses. We rode both days, Logan on Anchor and me on Olive. Both were calm and dependable. Even though Logan is 8 and can be tough to keep busy without screens, he never asked for one. The ranch is only about an hour and a half from home, but felt like another world. Such a great place to slow down and spend time together.

The meals were delicious, and the horseback riding was a real highlight for my group and me. We also went to see the nearby border wall. We had a wonderful time at this dude ranch.

The staff were great, and the food was wonderful. It’s so quiet and peaceful here. You can fill your days with activities or take it easy, whatever you feel like. It has that feeling of stepping back in time. Love this place, and I can’t wait until we get to come back.

We’ll be back! This is a real historic dude ranch, and the whole stay was a fabulous experience. The wranglers and other staff offered us lots of wonderful activities. Meals were delicious, and the rustic rooms were clean, well kept, and very comfortable. The horses are beautifully cared for and well trained.

We loved the shared dining table, where we could chat and laugh with the other guests, and there was a nice variety of excellent food. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The wranglers are down to earth, genuine people who love their work, and made sure we had a great time whatever activity we chose. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with western furnishings we liked. It got chilly in the desert at night, so the cozy fireplace was a treat. The ranch sits in a peaceful spot with lots of wildlife around. My husband and I had an amazing stay, easily the best vacation we’ve had in a long, long time.
