Having my bike along made it easy to reach Douglas or Saugatuck in just a few minutes, and parking right by my unit was convenient. I enjoyed my two nights at Captain's Quarters. The room was simple but suited a short visit, with a very comfortable bed and nice linens. Everything, including the bathroom, was impeccably clean, and the grounds and building were well cared for. The shower had great water pressure, and the continental breakfast in the community room was a nice way to start the day. I'd gladly stay again.

We asked the owner for dinner ideas when we checked in, and he offered several helpful choices without overwhelming us. My wife is already talking about coming back for her birthday, and I'm looking forward to it too. The rooms are quite basic, and ours didn't have a microwave, though there was one, plus an ice machine and a small library about boats, in the 24-hour common room. The place clearly puts a lot of care into cleanliness. Thanks, Captains Quarters, for a really pleasant, clean stay.

The location was fantastic, just an easy walk into town for shops and restaurants. There was also an inexpensive shuttle to Oval Beach, dune rides, and other things. Our room at Captain's Quarters Motel was cozy, very clean, and reasonably priced. We had a great stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend 👍 😀

I was visiting for work, and the quiet, relaxing feel reminded me of a simpler time. The price was just right, and I was completely happy with my stay. My room was clean, updated, and had a comfortable bed; the bathroom was updated and clean too. The owners are genuinely lovely people, and the room felt just right.

After a terrible night at another hotel, the owners here kindly went out of their way to find us a room. They also shared some great food recommendations. The room and grounds felt beautiful and welcoming, and that amazing bed had us sleeping like babies. Thank you for treating us so kindly and letting us stay at your motel!
