The rooms are full of carefully chosen furniture and artwork, and even as an artist I was impressed by how beautifully they’re decorated. The whole inn has an artisan feel that suits its name. We planned to stay for a week over the holidays, but ended up there for almost three months. The owner was kind and caring throughout. The inn is right in the center of Saugerties, a lively town with lots of restaurants and old-fashioned shops.

We left the car at the inn and walked about 200 feet into downtown Saugerties, with restaurants, bookstores, and coffee shops along the way. It was clean and affordable, and Stephanie took care of everything we needed. She leaves the doors open so you can peek into all the themed rooms, which was fun. Every room looked gorgeous. It was easy to get to, and we’d come back for another long weekend.

Stephanie, the owner, is friendly and helpful, and she’ll help you figure out activities and sightseeing. The inn is only a few steps from bars and restaurants, in a really nice town not far from Woodstock and Hudson Valley, so there’s plenty to do. I’ve stayed at Bohemian Inn a few times and keep wanting to return. I love the different room themes and how the owner furnished each room. It’s clean and neat, too.

Stephanie is a really friendly proprietor and helps make the stay enjoyable. Be sure to try her homemade scones. The place is clean, with antique furnishings, and it’s a quaint bed and breakfast right in the heart of Saugerties, NY. It’s a real gem. I’d recommend it and plan to book again.

We paid our deposit in full for a room booked several months ahead, so we could attend a friend’s wedding. Then, with just two weeks to go, the proprietor called this morning to cancel because a friend of hers was coming from out of town. Everything in town is booked, and now we’re scrambling to find somewhere else and pay even more at the last minute for one of my childhood friend’s weddings. I almost never write reviews, but this was a serious customer service failure and incredibly unprofessional. I’d think twice about booking here. Paying a deposit doesn’t seem to guarantee that you’ll actually have a room, and you could be left in the same bind we’re in.
