Mammoth Hot Springs & Cabins - Inside the Park

We loved the early 1900s interior style, and the piano lobby was a welcoming place to sit. Dining was excellent, more like home cooking than fast restaurant food. The hotel's atmosphere and friendly staff made our stay special, and the price felt extremely reasonable for everything we got.

I was very pleased with the facility, especially its condition, cleanliness, and staff. My room was lovely, and the public areas felt comfortable and inviting. Everyone I dealt with was wonderful. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Yellowstone, and I know I'll return if I come back.

As a local, I usually come for a day trip or to camp, but this time I wanted to spend time here in November. It was quiet, with only eight check-ins that day, and I got to check in early and pick my floor. My room was beautiful, really clean, quiet, and comfortable, with two queen beds and a claw foot tub. People told me to eat in town, so I did, and I had snacks in case I needed them later. I stopped at the restaurant for a glass of wine, but they only had chardonnay. It gets slow in the off season, so they understandably can't stock as much. Maybe pick up a bottle in town too. Everyone was very nice, and I'd definitely stay again. Locals get a winter discount rate too!

Every person we dealt with, from staff to tour guides, was consistently phenomenally friendly and clearly happy to be there, helping visitors in this incredible place. I hadn't realized this was the first winter Mammoth remained open, because everyone seemed fully informed, prepared, and glad to help. The greetings and service from every employee went above and beyond throughout our stay. It made the trip unforgettable, and I really hope they keep it up.
