The place smelled musty and damp, and everything seemed outdated. On the way to the room we passed dirty bedding on a couch and a used condom on the main hall rug. The bathroom had mold, and the bed linens were stained, so we slept on top of the bedding. It was so dirty that we only napped for a few hours, then left when the snow eased. Once home, I showered right away and washed everything I’d brought with me. I’d booked one night because it was right off the highway and seemed well priced during a bad snowstorm. At check-in, I found out the rate was much higher than advertised online. I paid over $300, more than I’ve ever paid for a hotel, and this one was so low quality. If I’d thought I could drive down the road to another place, I would have.

The beds were comfortable and clean, the heat worked great, and the hot water was pretty damn good. The price is reasonable, and the front desk staff are pretty chill. It’s handy if you need somewhere to crash after working very late nearby. With the location and comfort, I’d probably give it four stars. The place really needs updating, though. There was black mold in the bathtub, and it was kind of grimy. If it were a little cleaner, it would be fantastic.

We only came to sleep at this hotel for one night because of problems at our home. When we left, they charged our $75 deposit and another $50, claiming we’d broken a tissue box and a lamp. We never even looked at those things since we only went there to sleep. My husband is the best contractor in all of Woodstock and could fix anything with his eyes closed, he’s a walking miracle, so it’s odd they’d accuse us of that. The extra $50 they’re trying to charge our card is exactly what we saved by booking the room online. This feels like a big scam. Please be careful.

It’s a regular hotel, and I got a decent price. The room was fairly small, with several spots that were clearly dirty. One was a used soap bar sitting in a dirty part of the bathtub. The location works well if you just need to get off the highway or reach the ski hills.

After a long day, I checked in with four kids and had to ask the front desk several times for the rollaway bed I’d paid for. Then I called three times for extra blankets for it. When I finally went down myself, I was told there were no extra blankets. What kind of hotel has no extra blankets? I packed up my children and left. I’ve been trying to reach management for three days, but they haven’t returned my calls.
