Timberline Glamping at Unicoi State Park

For my birthday, we went glamping, and I immediately wanted one of these tents for year-round use. It rained all night, but inside was peaceful, and my 10 month old son had a great time crawling around. I love camping, but this was definitely easier with a baby. The location worked out perfectly too: we spent time in Helen and hiked two short waterfall trails nearby. I can’t wait to go back.

We picked this glamping spot so we could enjoy Helen’s Christmas lights while staying outside the busy city. It was just right: peaceful, pet-friendly, and with amazing service. Everything was well cared for, and the bed was super comfortable. This place is a gem. We’ll definitely return.

I just spent a week in one of the glamping tents, and it was a really good experience for the price. The site is close to trails and only 10 minutes from Helen. The public restrooms were what you’d expect at a camp site, an easy walk from the tent, and they were well lit and cleaned daily. Showers had nice hot water. Timberline supplied a flashlight, mini fridge, bear horn, and a little bug catcher for anything that got into the tent. The bed even had heated blankets, which I appreciated since it was super cold. I also used the in-room Keurig and the mugs they provided.

We spent our anniversary week in North Georgia in November, and got caught in an arctic cold front with a little snow and temperatures down in the teens. Our Timberline Glamping tent stayed toasty warm, so much so that we had to turn the heat down. The tents were exactly as described, and our camp host Ivy made sure we had everything we needed. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
