The owner, Monique, was attentive to what we needed, and the carriage house is pet friendly too. It's a beautiful historic property. We had a lovely stay and can't wait to return next year.

We loved being able to choose when our custom brunch was delivered to the Chatham Suite, so my wife and I could eat privately instead of joining a group at a set time. The two-story rental had a kitchen, two balconies, two fireplaces, a wonderful bathroom, and an upstairs bedroom with its own fireplace. It overlooks gorgeous Chatham Square in Savannah, GA. This was our first real visit to Savannah and our honeymoon, and the suite was just what we could have asked for. I'm so glad we chose Armstrong Inn.

Breakfast was brought to our townhouse each morning for the three nights we stayed in the Carriage House. Monique Armstrong cooked it, including fresh croissants in hollandaise sauce, pastries, and homemade waffles with chantilly cream. After room cleaning, the staff left fresh fruit and dessert in the fridge. We also loved the personal touch of William Armstrong's paintings on the walls. It felt private and secluded, yet Forsythe Park and the historic district's heart were about a 10 minute walk away. They welcomed our pup Fran, often with a milkbone. We had a magical, romantic weekend and hope to return to the Inn.

The Tattnall House felt like home during our five nights over Christmas. My daughter, husband and I loved its cozy, familiar feel and could almost imagine living there. It dates to the 1850s, with two upstairs bedrooms and one bath, plus a kitchen, dining room, living room, and a small walled garden off the kitchen. Armstrong Inns Tattnall House was an ideal way to enjoy Savannah, a city we fell in love with. We walked to the Sentient Bean at the south end of Forsyth Park almost daily, and the river, Broughton shopping, the park, and all the "Squares" were also within walking distance. Staff came every day to clean and bring pastries, fruit, milk, juice, cakes, eggs, and treats. We're vegetarians, so we skipped the bacon, though it was available. There was sherry in the main room and wine in the kitchen when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had fun making pizza and homemade ice cream. We brought our own ice cream maker. Our well-behaved 11 year old Lab cross came along and enjoyed this very dog friendly city as much as we did, if not more.

We'd had this reservation for three months, for Aug 28-30, as a surprise for my wife's 35th anniversary. Then on Aug 17, the Armstrong office called to say it was canceled. They'd sold the B/B, and the closing date was Aug 28. In my opinion, that was low class. Thanks, Armstrong.
