TownePlace Suites Erie

We had plenty of space in our two-bedroom suite with a full kitchen. Breakfast was good, and the service was friendly and helpful. We visited during bad weather, so I can't say what there is to do nearby.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and the breakfast was very good. Staff kept it stocked, and everyone we passed at the desk on our way to games was smiling and pleasant. After a run of disappointing tournament hotels, this was a refreshing change. Even when we called about checking in early, the front desk was helpful and nice. We booked a meeting room for a pizza party, and staff checked in on us. We've kept the information and hope to stay here for next year's tournament.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location makes it easy to get around Erie. My room was spacious, though the bed was rock hard and I didn't sleep well. Breakfast was mediocre. Overall, it's an above-average place.

We had a queen room with a couch, TV, desk, and kitchenette, and there was plenty of space for the two of us. Pulling out the couch bed would've made it cramped. The TV had several channels plus Netflix, Pluto, Prime, and YouTube. The kitchen had a good-sized fridge, dishwasher, two-burner stove, coffee maker, microwave, tableware, and dishwasher detergent and tabs. Housekeeping came once during our four-day stay and did an excellent job. It was the cleanest room I've stayed in, and I'd happily return. Breakfast was free and had waffles, cereal, fruit, eggs, sausage, muffins, biscuits and gravy, and oatmeal. Since I have celiac, I appreciated that Udis gluten-free muffins and gluten-free yogurt were available. Coffee was free all day, and the little shop sold snacks, frozen meals, over-the-counter medicine, local candy, and other things. The hotel sits in a corner of the Millcreek mall area, close to the Round 1 arcade, shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. Everything else in Erie was also just minutes away. It was quiet except for the occasional excited kid running down the hall. I didn't hear the nearby highway, though maybe I'm used to road noise at home.
