I had a problem with an electrical outlet. It was apparently shorting because a broken lamp was plugged in, with its third prong broken off in the outlet. They fixed it after I reported it. I’d booked three nights, but family had room at their house, so I asked to cancel the last two nights. They refused a refund. They also required full payment at check-in, which I’ve never experienced in all the lodging I’ve booked. Management was very rude. I’ve concluded they refuse refunds because they don’t get enough reservations, and now I understand why. I’d recommend that no one stay here. Spend your money elsewhere.

I left before the night was over and stayed at another hotel. My room smelled a bit, and the walls were so thin I could clearly hear the TV next door. The mattress was painfully hard, so I couldn’t sleep on it. I tried asking the front office for another room, but it was closed with the lights off. I called the numbers on the door several times and got no answer. Then I saw I’d been charged twice, once through the Agoda app and again when I swiped my card for a “deposit” at the front desk. The motel refuses to refund me, so I’m disputing the charges with my credit card. One of the worst motel experiences I’ve had.

The room and motel looked nothing like the pictures, and I couldn’t wait to leave. We were out by 6:30 am, after a night that was beyond disappointing. I rarely write reviews, but wow, I need to say what happened. First they put us in a room that was supposed to have a refrigerator and microwave, then moved us. The place felt sketchy, and there seemed to be people living at the motel. In the room, the toilet seat was loose, the bathroom sink had no drain plug, and there were cobwebs everywhere. When I asked for another pillow, they acted like it was unreasonable. There were only three, and they were so thin they were barely pillows at all. The refrigerator was falling apart, the heater was loud as hell all night, and the mattress sagged in the middle. I didn’t sleep a wink. The mirror was smeared, the rug felt sticky, and the whole place reeked of stale cigarettes. The listing promised “Continental breakfast,” but there was nothing. When I asked if they at least had coffee, the woman said, “um no but I guess if you want some we can make some.” At 6 am there was a man sleeping on the picnic table in the rain. I don’t know what a night in a crack house is like, but I imagine this is it. We couldn’t enjoy our night away from home at all.

I spent two days here and had a relaxing stay. The price was good, the service was good, and it felt comfortable, almost like being at home. It’s close to everything, and I’d recommend it. Five stars.
