Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Savannah Midtown, GA

I stayed in January with my husband and had been meaning to leave a review. Ortezja was amazing, so accommodating and kind. Everyone was sweet, but I've never met anyone nicer. She made the visit feel like home, and she deserves 10 stars!

I booked two connecting rooms through Booking.com on October 30 for my daughter's birthday sleepover that Friday. I came by the day before my card was due to be charged to see the place, check that the rooms connected, and figure out decorations. That's when staff told me there was no reservation. The manager said they don't book to local residents or allow parties, although she also said a large group of soccer players was staying at the Midtown location and there were no rooms left. They said my booking had been canceled on November 2, but nobody ever notified me, even though they'd let me book both rooms on October 30. My seven girls were confirmed and ready to be dropped off by their parents that Friday, and the manager didn't seem to care. I never saw anything saying local residents couldn't book. They made no effort to fix what was clearly a mistake on their end. I'm quite sure they gave my rooms to a bigger group, the soccer team, though seven girls at a party would use the hotel just as they would, and a larger team could be even louder. A staff member, not the manager, eventually pointed me to the Country Inn & Suites Southside location, which exceeded my expectations. Book Southside, not Midtown!

I've stayed here in 2024 and again in 2025, and both visits exceeded what I expected. Most recently the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked. No complaints. Breakfast was a bit limited on New Year's Day but pretty good otherwise. I plan to stay again next time I'm in Savannah. Some reviews call the area “sketchy”; I didn't see anything concerning, though I'd still take the usual personal safety precautions.

The hotel was a great base for visiting Savannah. It was very clean, the staff were great, and the rooms were comfortable. Parking was easy, and downtown Savannah is only minutes away. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
