Hilton Garden Inn Historic Savannah

This is a new Hilton Garden Inn that has what you’d expect. I had a clean, comfortable corner suite, though there was no wow factor. I was here for business. The valet was fast, friendly, and efficient, with in and out privileges, but it came at a hefty price since parking nearby is difficult. The best thing about the hotel is its location. It’s a quick drive to the Convention Center and within walking distance of great restaurants and bars in a lively area.

The staff, including housekeeping, valet, and the front desk ladies, were all friendly and helpful. I’m picky about hotels, but Hilton Garden Inn went beyond what I expected. The lobby was clean and nicely decorated, and the room was great: a super comfortable bed, crisp white sheets with no hairs or stains and no odd smells, plus a very clean shower and toilet. I’d recommend valet instead of parking elsewhere. The prices are pretty similar, and then your car is ready for you each day. Five stars. I can’t wait to stay again. Happy New Year!

Latasha got us sorted right away when we arrived. We’d picked this hotel because it had the best reviews in the price range we wanted, and after staying there, it really did feel like the right choice. The lobby has a huge range of things to buy, and fresh, free coffee and tea are available all day and night on the way to the elevator. We had a sixth-floor room with a balcony. The shower was clean and had great water pressure, and the beds were comfortable. The location makes getting around easy, and the valet was efficient and gave us helpful guidance.

My king room with a balcony was roomy and laid out comfortably. The bed was good, though the pillows were lousy, like in most hotels. The shower had fantastic pressure, and the desk, chair, work surface, and lighting made a comfortable place to work. The hotel and grounds look stunning and feel very Savannah. I liked the atmosphere from the entrance through the lobby and seating area, and the bar, coffee station, and snack shop were all cool. The snack shop even carries some great local business products. The valet team and hotel staff were among the best I’ve experienced. The hotel itself isn’t in the most desirable area, but my rating is based on the property and its staff.
