The place has a lot of charm, and the location is hard to beat. The staff kept going out of their way to look after us, and there were endless bottles of water and other drinks. Having parking there is a major bonus in Savannah, where that's a rare find. If we get back, we'll stay here again. The mattress could use an upgrade; it wasn't as comfortable as some others. Still, after all the walking, you'll sleep fine. I appreciated the earplugs and sound machine in the room, since I never travel without my own sound machine.

Watching cargo ships pass so close that they seem almost within arm's reach was very cool. The room had a king bed on the main floor and a queen in an open loft. It's pet-friendly, with a large green space right out front. The staff are super nice. They booked us just minutes before we arrived, since we like to wing it when we travel. This is our favorite kind of place, a registered historic property with creaky wood floors, dovetailed wood columns, and shiplap ceilings. We've made many trips to Savannah and stayed in some really neat spots, but this riverfront balcony room with a river view topped them all. Kevin is a beast and will carry all your luggage at once if you don't jump in! Thank you!

The place is amazing, and all the staff are stellar. I left cash in the safe, and they called quickly to let me know, so I didn't lose too much time on my journey. Their integrity is really reassuring. I fell in love with olde harbor and Savannah!

The PREMIERE 2-BED SUITE felt more like a loft than a hotel room, with lots of space and historic-looking floors and ceilings. We liked the calm feel here and the suites better than Plant Riverside, where we've stayed before. You can still see the river, though a building across the street partly blocks the view. The free sprites and waters were a nice touch. There are earplugs in the room, and you may need them when boats unload drunk people from the river or a loud car goes down Bay Street. The room was accessible de Bay Street, and walking out put us right in the park among the mossy trees. We had no ghost shenanigans. The bathroom was kind of small, and water leaked out, possibly because the toilet wax seal had blown. The door had no threshold, and we could easily hear people enter the entryway and their rooms from the main area. I'd recommend staying here or at Marshall House over the chains.

The staff were nice, but the room and entryway barely seemed to get cleaned. They replaced the towels and made the bed, yet the bathroom floor still had hair and wasn't cleaned during our stay. Someone said parking was free, but it's included in the fees and taxes and came to $40 a day. The location was okay, on the edge of the area we wanted to see. I didn't like entering through a sketchy alley. There was no entrance or exit to the river, so we had to walk down the alley past huge garbage bins or climb 24 stairs to street level. Every morning at 5:00am, a loud garbage truck came by. The walls were paper thin, and we heard every conversation and footstep from the rooms above and next door. If you like old charm, this might suit you. Next time I'd rather stay somewhere where I feel safer coming and going.
