Savannah Bed & Breakfast Inn

The outside areas could use some attention, especially the windows, but that didn't change my five-star impression. The rooms were very clean and kept their historic character. Both of ours opened straight onto the courtyards, with a private spot to sit. Breakfast options were limited because of Covid, but we still enjoyed it. The place has a quaint feel, and we found its quiet, convenient location charming. The staff were wonderfully friendly.

The Jasmine room opens onto the outside deck, so it was easy to step out and enjoy the courtyard. You can hear people walking by, which might bother some guests. There are 30 other rooms with different levels of privacy if that's a concern. Breakfast is cooked to order and was wonderful. Guests also get a sweet snack at 4 pm, then milk and cookies at 8 pm. From here, just about everything in the historic district is within walking distance. I loved staying here.

Lane Cottage felt like a little house tucked away at the back of the property. It has a kitchen, breakfast nook, living room, upstairs bedroom with three closets total, two upstairs and one downstairs, and an upstairs bathroom. There's even a courtyard out back. We kept finding more space as we looked around. The huge king bed, with its carved mahogany headboard, was very comfortable, and the mattress topper made it feel just right. The cottage is listed as a more traditional room rather than a premium room or suite because it's away from the main house, but we loved the privacy and seclusion. The Inn sits in Historic Downtown Savannah, only blocks from the main attractions in every direction, and we walked everywhere. Staff were lovely and helpful, and we enjoyed the delicious made-to-order breakfast, afternoon tea and treats, and cookies at bedtime. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend and will book Lane Cottage again.

We could walk to River Street and the shops from this nice location. Our room was cozy, roomy enough for all our things, and very clean and well cared for. The inn cats were a welcome bonus, and the staff were so friendly. We also enjoyed breakfast, especially the homemade jam. We loved our stay at the Savannah B&B.
