Big thanks to Nick, Whitney, Jaron and the housekeeping team for such a great three-night stop at The Ann Savannah, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. We were traveling from New York to Key West, and this was easily our best stop along the way. The apartment was stylish, high quality, quiet and spacious, with plenty of storage, a washer and dryer, a beautiful kitchen, a cozy living area and very comfortable beds. There weren’t many dishes or cutlery, but the dishwasher was excellent and came with tabs, and detergent was supplied for the washing machine, so it wasn’t a problem. Staff were exceptionally friendly, and Nick helped with a special request at check-in, which we really appreciated. The Historic District is only a five-minute walk away. Valet parking is a bit expensive, so the nearby, affordable Robinson Parking Garage run by the city is a good option. We’ll definitely return. This is our first choice in Savannah.

Whitney deserves special recognition for the kindness, care and professionalism she showed when we had a brief misunderstanding. We both acknowledged it, and she resolved it promptly. Her leadership and service made a lasting impression. The hotel is a spacious, thoughtfully designed warehouse conversion that would suit a short or long stay. Little James was a hidden 💎 gem for me. The menu fit my needs perfectly, and I had breakfast there each morning. Friday’s live band added a welcome bit of warmth and culture. Thanks as well to Jazz the bartender, Josh and James for the excellent service and hospitality. A standout stay, and I’ll absolutely return. Whitney’s commitment to service deserves formal recognition.
Katie was exceptionally polite and helpful. The other person at the front desk wasn’t as much. This is an extended-stay setup, so keep in mind there’s no daily housekeeping. I liked the warehouse-style apartment, with high ceilings, concrete floors, wood ceilings and frames, lots of closet space, and a washer and dryer, fridge, stove and dishes. Parking is $50 a day for valet, but there’s a lot two minutes away across from the courthouse. The Riverwalk is about a 12-minute walk. I was unsure about the bus depot across the street, but the neighborhood is mixed and we had no problems. Little James is across from the building, though its food menu is very limited. It felt like a waste of a great space, and it was usually empty and had even closed early when we were there. Other restaurants are within walking distance, and the river is 10 to 12 minutes away on foot. Nice Marriott concept overall, and I’d stay again.
This was my first stay here after trying eight other hotels in Savannah, and I was impressed enough to come back. It’s a new, classy hotel with big, quiet rooms, a decent location right next to The Grey restaurant, and a nice restaurant on site. It’s very dog friendly and felt safe. When we asked the front desk about a four-bedroom, they were helpful and even showed us the room. Parking costs $50 a day, and the valet didn’t mention the self-parking lot a two-minute walk away, even after we asked. That wasn’t good. The pool is across the street and you need a fav to get in, but ours didn’t work and nobody tried to fix it, so we never saw the pool. The hotel is one block from a sketchy area with a little more homeless presence than elsewhere, but we never felt uncomfortable. We’re early birds, so I can only assume it gets worse later at night. I’ll add this place to my rotation of Savannah hotels.
The loft-style rooms and exposed beams at The Ann are beautiful, and the location is perfect. After we got past an awkward arrival, the stay was great. When we pulled up, the valet attendant stayed in her office and just looked at us, then went back to what she was doing. She didn’t come out to greet or help until we knocked on the door. That made for a disappointing first impression. The entrance service could use more of that Southern hospitality.
