Room 1 (Taylor) was spacious and nicely kept, with a view of Forsyth Park from the main floor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I liked having a separate sitting area to read or unwind after exploring. For my first solo trip to Savannah, Forsyth Park Inn felt peaceful, welcoming, and well run, which made the stay feel safe and restorative. The staff were kind and attentive, especially Dwayne (General Manager), who made the experience feel personal. Breakfast was plated and always delicious, thoughtfully prepared. Little touches through the day, including tea, water, decaf coffee, and sometimes sweet treats, made the stay feel generous. I'd gladly return to Forsyth Park Inn. I'm already thinking about coming back with friends and family, and would recommend it to solo travelers looking for a calm, welcoming place.

We walked everywhere and had no trouble parking. River St. was about a 25-minute walk, and the property is close to everything else we wanted to see. Dwayne welcomed us warmly, offered great suggestions, and felt like an old friend. The place itself was beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. We plan to return.
The Taylor room was breathtaking, warm, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. From it, we could look out toward the lovely porch and Forsyth Park across the road, with its famous fountain and Spanish Moss trees. The inn's location couldn't have been better. That evening, there were light snacks with wine, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and fresh brownies later in the parlor. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful: pancakes with cinnamon-baked apples, whipped cream, candied pecans, and raisins. Daryl, our innkeeper, was especially memorable. He was kind and accommodating from arrival through the warm hug goodbye, and even made us a custom map of places to see and how to reach them. The whole staff was friendly, professional, and attentive to details. This beautiful historic bed and breakfast felt magical, and we hope to return to Savannah and Forsyth Park Inn soon.
The location and people were great, and the food was wonderful. They really do look after their guests. The room cleanliness, though, was a problem. There was a dead roach under the bed, dust and debris in every corner and along the baseboards, and dirt buildup in all the bathroom's nooks and crannies. I'm glad we brought house shoes and shower slippers. Maybe the rooms need a weekly deep clean. I'd also suggest removing some furniture from the smaller rooms and updating the paint.
My husband and I got married here this past week and stayed four nights. We loved the whole experience: the customer service, the rooms, breakfast, and the location were all great. I appreciated that they refreshed the towels every day, too. I'd recommend the place to anyone.
