Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Dr. Albert Wall and his staff serve an elegant meal in an incredible dining room, using century-old recipes gathered from the area. Dr. Wall is full of Southern charm, knows a lot, and is a wonderful storyteller. This was our second visit to the beautiful Stephen Williams Home, and we hope to return whenever we’re in Savannah. It’s furnished with magnificent antiques, elegant furniture, books, silver, and ceramics. There’s also a lovely hidden garden and patio. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay.

Dr. Albert Wall, the owner, makes breakfast with old Savannah recipes and knows so much about local history and architecture. He’s gracious and talkative, with excellent recommendations. He also gives student helpers work, and there’s daily room service. My wife and I had a wonderful four-night stay in the second-floor James Troup Dent room. The inn feels like a museum filled with antiques, silver, and books, and it has a secluded garden. Its location in the historic district is superb, and there’s free off-street parking. Highly recommended.

Dr. Wall made the stay special. He’s warm, enthusiastic, and one of the most interesting people I’ve met. At breakfast in the beautifully furnished dining room, served with antique silverware, he tells you about the history of the food and the furniture. The Southern breakfasts are prepared daily, and the whole experience felt like stepping back in time. The home and antiques are a gem, and the location is ideal, with most sights within walking distance. I’d love to return to Savannah and stay at the Stephen Williams house again. I highly recommend it!

Parking was easy, and the location is perfect for downtown. The Stephen Williams house was beautiful, and our room was very clean. Dr. Wall was a fabulous host and cook, making breakfast for all the guests each morning. He even showed me the recipe for praline french toast. It’s perfect for a solo trip or for two. 10/10, I can’t wait to go back. I’d feel wrong staying anywhere else next time.

I loved spending the afternoons reading in the garden, and the whole house felt cozy and relaxed. It’s beautiful inside, especially with all the antiques, and the central location was great. Dr. Albert and Ms. Alice made us feel so welcome, and breakfast each morning was a treat. We’ll definitely come back.
