I got to visit my niece quite a bit at this inn last spring when she stayed there. She told me her experience was mixed, a 3/5, but I believe in giving people some grace. Young people today may not realize how stressful, expensive, and difficult it is to keep a historic home open to the public. The property is a marvel, with helpful signs explaining how guests should behave and care for the place. The attention to detail and commitment impressed me, and I appreciated the warnings about possible charges. The innkeepers make their expectations clear about cleanliness, room upkeep, towels, and general behavior, with a level of care and standards I haven’t seen at other properties. I found the photos I attached especially telling of those standards. Bring your own makeup towel, please, and turn off the lights when you leave a room. Those are basic lessons in good manners. After 40 years as a Catholic school marm, I appreciated that.

Michael made us feel at home as soon as we arrived at this charming B&B. He knows the area well and was generous with dining and activity suggestions. The room had a lovely mix of vintage style and modern comfort, with a plush bed that helped us sleep well after long days of walking around. The attached bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast each morning was homemade with fresh local ingredients, served on fine china. The location is great too, in a pretty neighborhood a short walk from Forsyth Park and the historic district, making it easy to explore Savannah's streets and history. We loved our stay at the Thomas Weihs Haus and highly recommend this lovely spot, whether you’re traveling solo or as a couple.

Michael, one of the owners, was very friendly and gave us great dining and sightseeing recommendations before and during our visit. We also appreciated having plenty of parking and a Kroger very close by for snacks. We really enjoyed Thomas Weihs Haus. It’s a B&B in a beautiful historic house, in a great location. Our room was spacious and well equipped, and the included breakfast was excellent, with three options served in a lovely setting. We’d recommend staying here.

The quiet neighborhood is within walking distance of many places, and the free Dot bus is close by too. Michael also suggested some less obvious things to do that fit nicely with our other plans. Michael and Gerald have made Thomas Weiss Haus a beautiful, comfortable place to stay in Savannah. Michael served incredible breakfasts, which we enjoyed on the spacious porch. Our room had lovely furnishings and a comfortable bed, and the large rain shower came with all the necessities. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Michael’s cooking really stood out. His breakfasts were incredible, and you could see the care he put into making them memorable. On our second morning he brought out an unbelievably delicious breakfast cobbler with ice cream. It was divine! The house itself is beautiful, the decor is stunning, and the hosts are so warm and welcoming. It’s in a great spot in the historic district, with everything easy to reach on foot. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We’re looking forward to coming back soon.
