Lighthouse Suites at Pine Point

Nick and Peter have done an amazing job renovating Lighthouse Suites. The motel is beautifully decorated and super clean, with thoughtful extras like tide pods for the washer, containers for leftovers, and beach chairs and towels. They even let us check out late. I grew up in Pine Point and raised my children there, so it’s my happy place. We had a fabulous birthday weekend and will be back soon. Thanks, Nick and Peter! It may have been rated one star way back when, but it’s definitely a five-star place now.

Nick and Peter were gracious hosts and made sure the property was thoughtfully designed, right down to the details. My wife and I stayed with friends and family, and we were impressed by both the accommodations and the location. First class all the way. I’d highly recommend this gem.

A quiet, relaxing spot for a couple or a family, with a lovely uncrowded beach close by. It’s about 50 yards from the door along a sandy path through the sea grass. At low tide, a long sandbar stretches a couple or few hundred yards along the inlet opening. In past years we found dozens of sand dollars there, though most were still alive, so we left them.

The beach is very close and the maid service was great, but the rooms looked like they were from the 1970s. There’s no air conditioning, so we had to choose between shutting the windows and sweating or opening them and dealing with the awful smell from the nearby marsh. It smelled like sewage and made my wife sick, me nauseous, and the kids very uncomfortable. Internet only worked in the early morning. The worst part was the manager. I calmly disagreed with him about something, and he erupted, pointing his finger and yelling in my face, even though I said nothing else. Very poor customer service.
