The room was very clean, and the people were kind and helpful. I’d highly recommend this motel.

The door lock didn’t even work, and there was a lot going on around the property, including teenagers making a racket in the parking lots. My parents and I stepped into the room and got an eerie, horror-movie feeling, so we left soon after arriving. The place was labeled a hotel, not a motel, which surprised us. It’s hard to believe it’s right beside a police station and a hospital. I’ve stayed in some challenging places, including Bur-Bees in Guyana, and found them manageable. Schenectady, upstate New York, was a worse experience for me, even compared with Guyana, which is a third world country. I also heard they don’t let people use their service animals, which would be breaking the law. -10/10!

In an emergency, I needed a two-night stay for my brother, but Lydia, the woman I spoke with, said they don’t rent for two nights. I’ve never heard of that and plan to contact their corporate office first thing in the morning. They could have used the business, I’m sure. Who turns down profit? Lydia had a horrible, very nasty attitude. The location was flea-bitten and dirty, and she needs to be friendlier.

I wouldn’t pick this hotel again. It was okay for one night since we spent most of the weekend out, and being close to downtown was a plus. The staff were fine, but the hotel’s actual surroundings weren’t favorable. Our room wasn’t dirty, though some previous guests’ garbage had been missed by housekeeping. The fridge didn’t work, the TV showed nothing but static, and the old ice machine clearly hadn’t worked in years. The AC and most of the other things were outdated, and outlets were loose from the wall. WiFi kept kicking us off, and you have to ask for the password. There was no continental breakfast despite it being advertised, and the lobby coffee machine was broken. I wouldn’t stay there again.
