The Landing Hotel at Rivers Casino Schenectady

The room was modern looking and clean, with a king bed, a nice flat-screen TV, and a beautiful view of the river behind the hotel. There were plenty of outlets, but bring your own base because there’s no Type-C USB charger. The bathroom was nice too, with free soap, conditioner, and shampoo in the shower. Check-in was easy. Averii helped us and patiently answered my questions. She even gave me a warm chocolate chip cookie, which I love because I’m a BIG BACK. There’s plenty of free parking, and VIP parking costs $20 to park right across from the lobby. I was fine with the free parking, since it was just a short walk. The hotel is attached to the casino, but you can’t hear or smell it. The lobby and our floor were quiet. It doesn’t have a ton of amenities, but I can guarantee you’ll be comfortable, whether you’re here to gamble or just for a quick getaway.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable, though the hotel could be better. There’s only a shower in each bathroom, with a half wall that lets water spray everywhere. There’s no coffee maker or microwave in the room, and the only ice machine is on the first floor.

We’re so grateful to The Landing Hotel team for making our wedding weekend enjoyable and stress-free for us and our guests. We had a room block there, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms were clean, modern, and beautifully appointed, with all the amenities our guests could need. The location worked perfectly for the wedding weekend, making it easy for everyone to get to the venue and enjoy the area. We’d highly recommend the hotel for its comfort, convenience, and service.

Averil was really friendly and helpful when she checked us in, and gave us great dinner recommendations. The live music in the lobby was lovely. There was also a great band in the casino that night, The Hey Nows, who were an absolute blast and made the whole stay worth it.
