Best Western Crossroads Inn

We were unsure about choosing this Best Western, but ended up loving it and plan to come back soon. The front desk staff were warm and gracious, and housekeeping was helpful, friendly, and efficient. Our room and the location were great, too. Breakfast was good, with hot coffee available every day from 6 am to 9 am.

The staff were very nice, and we enjoyed our little break from everyday life. I did have a few practical complaints, though: the ice machine was out of order, so we had to ask the front desk for ice, and our room only had two sets of towels for two people. After I asked for more, housekeeping came when we booked another night, made the bed, took the trash, and left fresh towels. Breakfast was disappointing both mornings because the choices didn’t change. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy needed more cooking and stuck to the bottom of the serving holder, and the round eggs had no flavor. The milk, kept in a pitcher in the fridge, tasted as if it had been left out and reused. I wasn’t sure about the date on my yogurt, the coffee was stale, and I had to reheat the hot water in the microwave after taking it back to my room.

The rooms were very dirty, and I even found a bug on a bathroom towel. The online photos and reviews felt misleading. I’m definitely reporting this place.

I was in town for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and the service was great. Manisha at the front desk explained everything and took very good care of me. Liz, the housekeeper, kept my room spotless and made sure we had fresh towels. Everyone was professional. The shower was so nice that I didn’t want to get out.
