!! This place scams !! On the morning of 5/6, housekeeping called to “remind” me checkout was at 11. When I went down to sort it out, they were going to kick me out because they had mischarged me $25. I’ve never had such a bad motel experience. The whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke, and I even saw a housekeeper smoking while cleaning a non-smoking room. The room was gross, too, with grimy carpet.

The outside looks beautiful and the rooms are quite acceptable, so the low rating isn’t because the place looks rundown or old. Our room was absolutely filthy. Dirt and dust had built up along the floor edges and bathroom baseboards, the kind of grime that suggests months of not cleaning. Everything was in its place, like a teenager had tidied up, but the floors, baseboards, and surfaces hadn’t been properly washed. When we went in, there was also a very large bug crawling across the shower curtain. I might have overlooked that if the room had been clean. I’m not especially picky, but seeing how little effort went into cleaning made me wonder whether the sheets had been washed or whether there were bed bugs. I couldn’t sleep. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The property itself is fine, and the rooms are standard and nice. I don’t understand why they let them get so dirty when it’s preventable.

The staff were rude, and we found dirty pillows, crappy towels, and what looked like bed bug feces on the sheets our first night. A few weeks later, we found bed bugs on the beds. They blamed us, even though other reviews mentioned bed bugs, and seemed to be covering up earlier reports. When we confronted the front desk woman, she just stood there stuttering. They refused to give us clean pillows and wanted us to pay for replacements. The bath plug was broken and the showerhead didn’t work right. Sometimes the air conditioning failed, and the refrigerator was starting to go out. They charge $5 for a lost key card. They say “no pets allowed,” but the family running the place literally has a whole dog. Honestly, I should have called the health department. Don’t waste your money here.

Unprofessional and dirty. They tried to kick us out a day before checkout because they hadn’t charged us their credit card fee. They woke us at 5/6 in the morning and didn’t even apologize. The whole hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. I saw a housekeeper smoking in non-smoking rooms, and they knocked on our door for housekeeping even though we had the do not disturb sign up. Our room was dirty all over, from the baseboards and furniture to the bedding. What a joke. Don’t stay here.
