Our original spring-break hotel with the girls was so bad that we needed a last-minute option. Chris at Fairfield got us in and was incredibly accommodating and compassionate, saving our weekend. The rooms were clean, and we got extra towels and linens. Even though it was late, Chris checked that we had everything we needed before his shift ended. Pricing was transparent, and breakfast was clean and restocked on time as people came in. 10/10.

The front desk staff were awesome, and the location is pretty and can be quiet. But my shower had low pressure, the AC units were so loud I could hear the next room while showering, and a loud party outside went past midnight on my first night, powered by an electric car. I requested room service for my three-day stay and it never came. On the last morning, I asked at 9 a.m. for fresh towels and trash pickup, and that wasn’t done either. ✌️

For a cross-country road trip, this was a convenient, comfortable, clean place to stay, and that’s what my four stars reflect. I wasn’t rating it as a four-star resort. It’s a four-star place to stay while taking care of other business.

The staff have been fantastic, and the location was just right for what I needed. The decor is a little dated. I still think all the Marriott's should upgrade their weight rooms with a cable machine. Kansas city has one, and it’s a great addition for anyone wanting a proper full workout. They were also missing a couple of dumbbells. Having one 25 and one 30 isn’t ideal.

The room was fine, but it felt a bit forgotten. Maintenance needs to improve, and a little more care would be nice. There weren’t any tissues in my room either.
