Quality Inn & Suites Chambersburg Northeast

The rooms need a thorough cleaning, including the walls, floors, and bathrooms. I can’t recommend this location to anyone. When I arrived, though, the younger woman working at the front desk on Sunday at 3 pm on 6/7/26 was very sweet, friendly, and helpful.

I used a Clorox wipe on every surface because the room only seemed clean in the places you could easily see. Dirt and crumbs were left around the beds and nightstand, and the shower was grimy, with an old, cracked surround that was unpleasant to look at. After several stays here, we won’t be back. It has gone downhill and feels more like a Motel 6 than a 'Choice' hotel. For more than $125, I expect at least a clean, updated room. Choice should take this place off its list.

The room itself was clean, so this place could be okay once the remaining work is finished. The bathroom had patches that hadn’t been repainted, and the bathtub looked like it had been recaulked poorly. There were holes in the furniture and stains on the carpet. It feels like a work in progress, but with those problems fixed, it wouldn’t be an awful place to stay.

I travel all over the United States, and this place ranks nearly as badly as the dump in Newark Delaware. I wouldn’t come back, and in my opinion I should get a full refund. The hallway clearly had a no-smoking rule, but someone had been smoking heavily there. The room was filthy and smelled like mold or mildew. Breakfast was meager and offered little variety. I wasn’t recognized as a diamond member either. The 3.9 out of 5 rating is hard to understand. I’d pay extra to avoid this hotel.
