Residence Inn Columbia

I’ve been a Marriott customer for a long time, and this one was among the better stays. The room was great, the continental breakfast was very good, and there was plenty of parking. Everything was nice and clean. No complaints, and I’d stay here again.

We were in town for MSWF that weekend and found the hotel very clean. The continental breakfast was great, and it was nice meeting other people who were going to the festival. Definitely a very nice place to stay.

The location worked well for me, just off the highway and not too far from the airport, and there was plenty of parking. I liked having a full kitchen and fridge in the room, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean, though a few small maintenance things, like lights and running toilets, needed attention. Breakfast was included and a good value. The front desk was average, while the kitchen and cleaning staff were friendly and courteous.

I spent 19 nights here and my room was serviced only twice. It was never vacuumed, even after I asked. Going three weeks without vacuuming is not okay. Breakfast was mostly ordinary hotel fare, with turkey sausage every morning. The rest was nothing special, and honestly, milk from a used carton in the garbage would taste better. The area felt safe, with plenty of food nearby, and the front desk was fine. The morning woman who has been there a couple of years is great, though the others were just okay. As an Elite Member, I got no upgrade or welcome gift. After spending thousands a year with the brand, being treated like everyone else is disappointing.
