South Broadway Manor

We wanted a quiet weekend with no plans beyond relaxing, and South Broadway Manor was just right for that. It felt nourishing to be there. Our room had its own bathroom, a cozy fireplace, and a nice view of the back patio. Pat, the host and only the second owner of this historic home, welcomed us and gave us a personal tour with fascinating stories about the property. Rafael and the other staff were just as warm. Each room has its own charm and period décor, so it really feels like stepping back in time. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious, with lovely service. Fresh cookies are available daily, along with several coffee machines, hot tea, and juices. The care, hospitality, and peaceful setting made our stay memorable. We chose the manor from its online photos, but it’s even more beautiful in person. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for rest, beauty, and a bit of history in Scottdale, Pennsylvania.

We ended our short ride on the GAP trail here, and the house was a wonderful place to stay. The history alone makes it worth a visit. The staff took great care of us, and breakfast was probably the best we had during our brief time on the trail. The back gardens are beautifully maintained, and the house has enough modern comforts to make the stay easy.

The owner, who used to be a model in NYC, is so nice and makes sure everyone feels cared for. The house has tons of charm, and the rooms and bathrooms are kept immaculate. If you want some peace and quiet and a stay that feels special, don’t miss this gem.

Staying here feels like a trip back to the Gilded Age. If you enjoy history and the charm of the past, you’ll love it. The host is lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend!
