The room and hotel were extremely dated, and the place smelled moldy. The tub was dirty, with mold on the walls, so I wouldn't shower there. The towels looked dingy, the carpet felt sticky, and the bedding had cigarette burns. The blankets were scratchy and seemed very old, and the beds were uncomfortable. The sliding patio door facing the “pool” had a broken frame, so we pushed the table against it because it didn't seem secure. The pool area was closed, but nobody told us at check-in. The check-in was just as bad. The front desk attendant was outside meeting a friend when I arrived. He wore jean shorts and a plain white shirt, so I didn't realize he worked there. He asked if I was checking in, and I said I hoped so as I kept walking to the desk. Then he lit a cigarette and kept chatting with his friend. I had to call the portable he was carrying using the lobby phone before he came in. While checking me in, he kept talking to his friend, possibly a coworker, and complained in a very derogatory way about having to re-clean a room for guests. He handed me the key envelope with “here you go,” without telling me the room number. I had to find it on the map myself, and he just stayed there talking. We were passing through Scottsbluff on our way home from WY and needed a place to sleep. After 12 hours on the road with a toddler, and with our luggage already out of the car, we probably would have left otherwise. I'm very disappointed. I hope other Motel 6 locations aren't in the same condition. Even with its “lowest prices,” I feel it's very wrong to run a motel in this shape.

The hard wood floors were slick, and the shower and tub were so slippery that my son fell several times trying to shower. The TV also had technical problems, but the manager had it checked and moved us to a different room in under 20 minutes. Given that the motel was being renovated, I was very happy with our three-night stay. The staff were awesome, the rooms were quiet and warm, and the beds were comfy. If there'd been morning coffee, I'd have given it five stars. I'll definitely stay again on my next trip.

The most upsetting part was that a member of the housekeeping staff grabbed my breast while I was asking for clean sheets and towels. The manager offered a “formal apology” and a full refund for our two-night stay. The police were contacted, a report was filed, and charges may be pending against the staff member. I was relieved to be asked to “vacate the premises”; I would never have felt safe or comfortable staying for the second night. The building was dilapidated and only marginally clean, and it had been under construction for some time. Despite promises of a working pool, we were told it had broken the day before we arrived. I have never been so glad to leave. Do not stay here!

The room was dirty, and the sheets weren't clean. The TV had no power button or remote, so we couldn't turn it on. We called the front desk four times with no answer, then called from my phone. They said they were working on it but had other customers to worry about. Paying guests clearly weren't a priority. This was absolutely absurd. You get what you pay for, and that was true at the Days Inn at Scottsbluff. Sick, dirty, and staff with no customer relations. Not a good hotel to stay at. After driving 12 hours, my family and I expected a polite welcome. Instead, the front-desk employee didn't acknowledge us at check-in. When he finally did, he didn't ask for proof of payment. He also just said, “your room is XXX,” without telling us where the elevator or room was, so we had no idea where to go.

I booked a room three months ahead, but when I asked for a confirmation number, I was told they didn't provide them. The day before arrival, I called and was told I had no reservation. They had nothing available except an unfurnished room at the regular price. There was a little league baseball tournament that weekend, and most hotels and motels were full. I found a room at the Super 8 across from the Motel 6 and would highly recommend it. The Motel 6 offered me a room for $42 a night on my second day at the Super 8, after several cancellations. I had family staying at the Motel 6, and when I visited, there was construction everywhere: hanging wires, unfinished rooms, and clutter. Visitors also had no public restroom available.
