We only booked because our previous hotel canceled and this place could take us at short notice. The guy was accommodating, and we told him several times we’d check out Sunday the 21st. My dad’s receipt, in his handwriting, showed check-in on the 18th and checkout on the 21st. At 9:00 AM he banged on our door and told me to come to the office to pay more, saying we should have checked out September 20th and had stayed an extra unpaid night. My boyfriend and I went up to explain what the receipt said. We refused to pay for another night, and he ripped up our ticket and gave us 15 minutes to leave. I’m pretty sure the place has bed bugs too, because I pulled several off my scalp.

The rooms are clean and the people are friendly. The property is in the center of the city, just off the interstate, and it has the potential to be even better, maybe even a resort, with the right steps.

Affordable and a good place to spend the night. I’d recommend it to family or friends.

The desk clerk was pleasant and let us look at the room before checking in. It was clean, though very dated. There was no complimentary coffee in the room, and the TV had only about 10 channels, mostly news. After the senior discount, the total was still over $70, and we found it wasn’t worth the money.
