We spent four days here and had a great time. The campsites were a little small, but it didn't bother us much because everything else was so well maintained. The crew passed through day and night keeping the campground tidy, and the whole place felt safe, welcoming, and full of good energy. It’s about 800m from the beach, with lots to do nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the good atmosphere. We’d definitely come back!

I’d never heard of this place before summer 2025, but it’s definitely worth the trip. My sister, her partner, my nephew, and I stayed in one of the cozy camping cabins during the week of August 10th. We left Wednesday, so it was a relaxing three days if you count arrival day. The trolley to the pier and back costs two dollars, and I loved having it since it saves a lot of walking if you don’t know the area. Would I camp here again? Yes, especially in a pop-up camper for that old-school feel, or even in a tent. I hope to return and explore more of the campground.
We paid almost $100 for the campsite, and that was too much for a shower with no hot water. About two minutes into my shower, there was no warmth at all, no difference between turning the spigot to all hot or all cold. I rushed through it, really disappointed. We'd driven 11 hours and arrived at 9:10, after the office had closed. A man working nearby kindly showed us to our site, which we were lucky to have help finding because everything was packed in. There was a kids' movie going on and the streets were crowded. We got set up, then left at 11 the next morning.
Since the corporate buyout, getting a decent site has become harder, and maintenance has gone downhill fast. During our 10-day stay, one shower in the ladies' room nearest us was broken when we arrived. Three days later another one broke, and neither had been fixed by the time we left. We paid the fees to keep our site, but the company decided it would become seasonal, so they moved us anyway. I've been coming here since it was Hid'N'Pines. Bad business all around. Stay away from this campground and the others owned by this company.
We loved the porch with its fireplace, and the campground was beautiful. We visited during the last week of May 2025, outside peak season. Overall we had a good experience. The place is close to a grocery store, has a laundromat on site, and is within walking distance of Old Orchard beach. The comfort areas were clean, though the floor needed washing and a mat inside the entrance would have helped. There were four adults in the two-bedroom cottage. The master bedroom had broken blinds, a squeaky bed, awful pillows, and no reading lights besides recessed ceiling lights, so reading without keeping your partner awake wasn’t possible. We could have used hangers. The second bedroom had no fan or AC, and some outlets didn't work, so it was very hot at night whether the door was open or shut. The kitchen had basic dishes, cups, glasses, and supplies, but only one huge bowl. The grill tools were broken, an outlet in the living area didn't work, and a cookie sheet would be useful. The website should list kitchen supplies, and a check list on arrival would help. Bring sheets, pillowcases, a light blanket, towels, washcloths, dish towels, garbage bags, and hangers. They provide paper towels and dish detergent. They do provide pillows, but we were glad we brought our own.
