Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mishawaka - South Bend by IHG

We had a great stay last night and will return whenever we’re in the area. Our kids were grateful that staff quickly fixed a key issue so we could get into the pool. The rooms were clean and service was great. Housekeeping worked hard to keep everything spotless, and the man in the breakfast area kept it clean, stocked, and pleasant while hustling nonstop. My only suggestion is adding QR codes for cashless tips in the rooms and service areas like breakfast and dining. We rarely carry cash, but would gladly have tipped that way.

The rooms and service were good, but breakfast was so disgusting that I can only give three stars. The “omelet” was burnt brown all around the edge, and the yogurt was spoiled. The oatmeal was paste-like and tasted just as bad. I tried putting brown sugar on it, but it was a solid lump I had to chip away at like a rock.

Susan welcomed me with real warmth and kindness, and she was a huge help. She even made an extra effort so everyone in the hotel could tell there was someone who cared.

Susan at the front desk tonight was remarkable. My reservation had a problem, but she went above and beyond to find me a room for the week. Even exhausted after a crazy weekend at the hotel, she was very kind and empathetic about my situation. She’s the best customer service person I’ve encountered. Thank you so much, Susan!
