Embassy Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Resort

We had a pleasant stay, and I'd come back. The rooms are spacious suites with a nice-sized living room and a small bar area with a microwave, sink, and fridge. Everything was clean and comfortable. The stay also came with a full breakfast, including made-to-order omelets, plus an evening happy hour with two drinks and snacks. The dining area had lots of seating, so finding a place to eat in the morning was easy. Staff in the dining and drink areas and at the front desk were pleasant. I chose the Embassy Suites in Scottsdale after a really good experience with the brand in Washington D.C. It's about a 10-minute walk to Fashion Square Mall and around 20 minutes from the Waterfront.

The location worked perfectly for spring training fields and dining, and we had a great time. We were here for a few spring training games. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the pool had a nice size and plenty of seating. The afternoon reception had a better selection than I expected. Breakfast at Embassy Suites was top-notch, with made-to-order items and a big buffet of choices. Staff across the front desk, housekeeping, and reception were helpful and cooperative. Diego seemed to be around the reception from morning to night, doing all sorts of things, from cleaning the floor and waiting tables to checking guests in. I highly recommend it.

The beds and pillows were amazing, and the location was convenient for Old Town, Fashion Square, and the Botanical Garden. The room could use a little updating, though. The sink water wouldn't get hot, even though the shower was fine, and the bathroom plug was loose. Parking was a challenge with a rental car. I'd stay again.

The rooms are dated, but clean, and the food each morning was fantastic and free. The staff deserve five stars: they're wonderful, professional, and take care of whatever you need. The pool and spa areas were clean and maintained, and one pool stays open 24 hours and is heated, so it's warm for swimming. It's a good budget option for a family with kids who like to swim, and the free breakfast helps keep things economical.
