Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas

The villas were clean, recently renovated, and had everything our group of seven women needed. The pool bar near them was closed, so we walked to the main resort. Drinks took 40+ minutes, and when we went to order at the bar, we were told that would take 30 minutes too. There were only 20 people at the pool. We learned that a conference was also being served by the one bartender and one server, including guests inside. The server was wonderful but clearly overwhelmed, and that wasn’t her fault. We spoke with the hotel manager, who said someone from Hilton would contact me. They emailed three times and scheduled a phone appointment three times, but never called. It was really disappointing, especially from a Hilton. Our friends would have liked to return for our annual trip, but I don’t think we will.

The location works well for us, with easy access to trails, hikes, and shopping. After our room was serviced, there were no towels, which was odd. The cleaning staff were super friendly, but the front desk could use a couple more customer service classes.

I was sick for most of my few days here, and the front desk team, David, Yesica, Jennifer, Kyra and Lori, were incredibly kind. They checked on me and looked after me throughout my stay, going well beyond what I expected. I’m a new Hilton employee, and seeing what great hospitality looks and feels like taught me a lot.

This is our favorite place to stay in Scottsdale. It’s relaxed and intimate, with tasteful decor and only three floors, unlike the sprawling, crowded resorts around Phoenix. The pool area is lovely, with outdoor seating for coffee, breakfast, or a light meal. The staff are the friendliest, from the front desk to the outdoor bar attendant. There are thoughtful extras too, like complimentary water bottles at check-in and during the day. Our updated room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, and parking is free and easy. We’ll be back.
