Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Seaford

Sarah, the manager, was the only bright spot. She was professional, helpful, and accommodating, and went out of her way to make my visit easier. She's the reason this gets one star instead of zero. The rest of my stay at Days Inn & Suites was uncomfortable and unsanitary. The hallways constantly smelled of cigarettes and weed, there were roaches in the halls, and I found bed bugs in the beds and sheets. The owners were rude and unhelpful and showed no concern for guests. Cleaning staff openly talked about guests, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional.

The staff manager and cleaning crew went above and beyond, and I'd definitely recommend staying here. Everyone was pleasant and willing to help whenever we asked. I had one issue finding a buggy, but it was handled with sympathy and grace. I was surprised by how much care I received compared with past experiences. They even refunded 50% of my three-day stay because of the one bug I found, without me asking.

The pool was closed, and the coffee machine was oddly located in the bathroom. In the room, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly, and the entry door had uncovered edges that let people outside see into the whole room. I had to use the ironing board to block the gap while changing. The floor felt disgustingly sticky, and ants were crawling all over the room. The lobby floor was dangerously slippery, and stale smoke reeked through the hallways. My stay was disappointing from arrival onward. I should have paid closer attention to the existing reviews. I won't return or recommend the hotel until these problems are fixed.

The room was clean, and the staff were nice. The location was a little out of our way, but the one-night price made it okay. Breakfast was simple, though we ate in a sunny room with no AC. The pool was still closed, as others have mentioned, but that didn't matter much to us.
