Ruth and the staff were so friendly, and the rooms were clean and in good working order. The beach and town center are both close by, which was a real plus, and the hotel was affordable. The Spa Room felt dated and cramped, with no chairs. The bed was stiff and the pillows were pretty miserable, though the jetted tub worked great and was lovely on a cool evening. The Wi-Fi for the TV kept needing to be reset, which drove me nuts. Parking was confusing and tight. I was in the back lot, and the next day a big truck had parked beside me. I did manage to get out, but it was a close call. Still, the clean room, good location, and helpful staff gave us what we needed from an affordable hotel.

I run a convention and got the rest I needed here. Seaside’s oldest standing hotel has a lot of rustic charm, and some rooms have extra comforts like a jetted tub.

I lost my car keys and my room keys, and the staff were wonderful about helping me and making things easier. Their kindness really got to me. I’ll definitely come back.

The people who run the Hillcrest make it feel special. I felt comfortable, safe, and at home on my solo trip. My room has a jacuzzi tub right beside the bed, which has been so relaxing, and there are lots of little touches that make the place feel special.

My daughter is a huge Twilight fan, so I booked a last-minute trip to see Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, which appears in the movie. I mentioned her love of the series when I reserved our cabin at Hillcrest. When we arrived, she saw the full Twilight DVD collection on the coffee table and let out a shriek. Such a thoughtful surprise, and she’s still talking about the adventure. That made the trip for me. Thanks, Hillcrest. We’ll be back.
