This was a very middle of the road stay. The room was clean and seemed fairly new, but nothing was fancy, and the TVs were tiny. The pool looked much bigger in the photos, though there was enough room for the kids even with the busy Memorial Day crowd. Staff were mostly matter of fact, neither warm nor cold. One guy was especially nice, I think he was a Hispanic gentleman with a great mullet and gold chain. He offered to bring up the blanket I’d asked for because my 11-year-old daughter was complaining about carrying it. Our pullout couch had no blanket. I checked the closets and drawers, then asked for one, and was asked whether we already had two extra blankets. It wasn’t a big deal, but I didn’t see why asking for three would matter. The room we were given had one room and a pullout instead of the two-room option I’d offered on, apparently because it was oversold. That worked for us, though the kids had liked the idea of separate rooms. Even the little touches felt basic: a blank room key in a generic sleeve, no pen or paper for the thank-you note my kids usually leave for housekeeping. Nothing was really bad, but nothing stood out either.

The staff made our stay feel special. Earlier in the day they texted to ask if we were celebrating anything and offered to help, since we live nearby. I said no, but mentioned my boys had always wanted to stay here and that we’d found a really good deal on priceline. At check-in, the woman asked about our plans and surprised us with an upgrade. It was incredibly kind and made the kids’ whole week. The suites are beautiful, the view is lovely, and the location is prime. This is exactly the kind of local business we want to support, and we’ll be back.

We had a wonderful January weekend and loved being able to cook in the room instead of eating out every day. The location was perfect, the staff were very friendly, and the exercise room was just the right size for what I needed. Having gluten-free bagels each morning was amazing, and the kids had a great time in the indoor pool. The one real drawback was the cooking gear: the nonstick pans and plastic serving utensils were in rough shape, and the bottom of the stock pots was flaking. I didn’t want that getting into our food. We’ll come back, but I may bring my own stainless steel pots, pans, and serving utensils.

My family and I stayed for one night. The room was fine, housekeeping did a good job, and the front desk person was friendly. I booked partly because breakfast was included, since that matters to me, but it was a big letdown. There was coffee or milk, bread, fruit like apples or oranges that were a bit past their prime, some kind of soup, and yogurt. If that’s enough for you, it may be fine. I wanted a fuller breakfast, and there were no eggs, waffles, or pancakes. The biscuits were hard and the gravy didn’t look appetizing. Compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at, there were fewer choices and less care put into the food. The breakfast room also had only a few tables for all the guests. It’s a quick, basic continental breakfast, perhaps fine for kids, but don’t choose this hotel expecting breakfast to be a highlight. You might be better off using the in-room kitchen. I’m sharing this to give future guests a clearer idea and suggest the hotel improve both the food and the seating.

The room was nice, and the front desk people were nice too. But I wouldn’t bring a dog here unless you can take it everywhere with you. They don’t allow dogs to be left alone in the room, so the pet-friendly policy was no use to us. I understand barking can disturb other guests, but I’m not sure how you’re meant to do anything if the dog can’t stay in the room by itself. There’s also a nightly fee for each pet. Save the fee, leave your dog at home, and pay for a sitter. It wasn’t worth it.
