The College Inn Hotel has a lot of character, with cozy furnishings, wood details, and a European-inspired look that feels more like a historic guesthouse than a chain. Large windows make the rooms bright, and the linens, rooms, and shared spaces were tidy and well kept, so the older setting still felt comfortable. Beds were comfortable too. Its University District location is a real plus, right by the University of Washington campus and close to bookstores, coffee shops, and casual restaurants. Transit is easy to reach for trips downtown or to other neighborhoods. There's a friendly common area, and you can book a shared or private bathroom. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and nearby cafés and restaurants add plenty of options. For travelers who care more about charm, location, and affordability than cookie-cutter luxury, it's a cozy, clean place in a lively part of Seattle.

The Loft was just right for working, making dinner, relaxing, or spending time with other guests. The accommodations were comfortable, the location was great, and there was help available around the clock if you needed anything. It's a lovely piece of history, carefully maintained, with original photos throughout the hotel. A real hidden gem. Downstairs, there are separate businesses including a restaurant, bagel shop, bar, and spa, all useful options for visitors to the area or university.

We first found the College Inn while visiting our son at UW, and loved its historic charm and European feel, along with how close it is to campus. Built in 1909 for the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, it's a Tudor Revival hotel. There's a market across the street on “The Ave” and lots of places to eat nearby. We've stayed in two rooms, one with an en suite bathroom and one with only a sink. The separate women's and men's bathrooms and showers were immaculate, just steps away, and I never encountered anyone there. We arrived early once and left our bags in a locked closet. A late checkout was easy to arrange through the online portal. Each guest gets a code for the front door and room. This isn't a big traditional hotel with a grand lobby, shops, elevators, or a gym. The entrance is a small foyer with a desk and stairs to three floors of rooms. The fourth floor has The Loft, a community lounge with complimentary coffee and tea, a shared kitchen, long tables for meals or work, plus a couch and lounge chairs. Rooms are cozy, comfortable, and spotless. Service is prompt and friendly, and the price is affordable. Highly recommend!

I had a very nice stay in a private room with its own bathroom. It's a quaint hotel, with good accommodations, excellent service, and a great location. On the fourth floor, 'the loft' has a shared kitchen and free coffee, water, and tea, with space to sit together if you like.

The Loft is a nice spot to work, relax, read, or have tea, and the place is close to campus. It's an easygoing place to sleep and hang out. The room was really warm at night even with the heater off. It was March, with nighttime temperatures around 44 degrees, and I didn't sleep as well as I'd hoped. Apart from that, it was awesome.
