There’s an impressive range of activities here, including an indoor track above the basketball court, handball, squash, gyms, and more. There are also three places to eat. The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. Just remember it’s a private club, so you need to be with a member.

The rooms were clean and had what I needed, and there was plenty to do. The staff were amazing, really attentive to guests and their needs. Five stars.

It’s a very good area, and the hotel is clean. Most of the staff are friendly, too. But without a fridge or microwave, coming for a convention meant I had to eat out for every meal and couldn’t keep leftovers. That pushed my trip over budget. The TV was another problem. Even though it has an HDMI port, there are no buttons and the remote can’t switch inputs, since external inputs are disabled. Google Cast is the only option, and it worked just one out of the three nights I was there. I tried all the troubleshooting steps from three different devices, but it still wouldn’t connect. My friend and I ended up huddling around my Switch with no TV in the background after long convention days. The holiday weekend hours were also very limited, which made an already stressful trip harder. I’m giving it three stars for cleanliness, friendly staff, and location. Everything else was just adequate, I guess.

The Library beside the lobby Cafe became my favorite spot, a quiet corner with warm wood wainscoting and books lining the walls, tucked away from the city bustle. I was only there for a quick wedding stay and didn’t get to use the amenities, though there seemed to be plenty available to non-members, and the day pass for extra services was exceptionally fairly priced. My Deluxe room was spacious, and paying a little extra for a peekaboo view of the sound was worth it. The Elliott Bay Suite patio deck was phenomenal, while the Presidential Suite felt like a retro Frank Llyod Wright dream. From check-in and checkout to special requests and split payments, the staff handled everything with remarkable kindness and flexibility. Now I’m hooked and need to plan a return for the full experience.

The rooms have been updated but still have a touch of vintage charm, and the lobby had a very “old money” look. I liked the Echo Dot with its listed Alexa commands, since I use one at home all the time. We were in Seattle for one night before a cruise and got to book through my employer benefits. The service was incredible, with staff going above and beyond on simple things, and it meant a lot. We had a tight schedule and couldn’t see the whole facility or try all the amenities. I’m looking forward to staying here next time I’m in Seattle.
