Palihotel Seattle

The people are really why we'd book here again. On our second stay, the front desk team was so kind to my family, bringing paper to entertain our energetic nephews, arranging extra bedding and gift baskets, and quickly fixing a faucet handle. They were pros through all of it, even with the hotel sold out for the Seahawks playoffs, and made everyone feel welcome. Harry, the front desk manager, remembered us and checked that the group was looked after, including correcting my mistake on one room's booking date. The restaurant was superb again, with food even better than last time. The hostess and waiters graciously accommodated our last-minute dinner for everyone and charmed my nieces. We first liked the hotel enough to book a block of wedding guest rooms, and Derek in sales handled all the group arrangements efficiently, turning around our requested changes quickly even during the holidays. Rooms and location are still great. We'll be back next time we're in Seattle.

The room and the hotel were quirky, charming, and unlike anywhere else we've stayed. We loved our room, and everything in it worked. The lobby and main floor had a great vibe, with a coffee bar and restaurant just inside. But sleep was a real problem. We could hear ordinary car traffic and even a seagull outside as clear as day, so the windows and walls must be poorly insulated. We had a very hard time sleeping and were glad we'd only booked one night. The view from our fourth and top floor room was amazing, especially for the price, which made this a difficult stay to review.

We love beautiful boutique hotels with personal service and a distinctive stay, and the Palihotel delivered. I enjoyed having coffee in the library, the restaurant was great, and the staff were very friendly. There is street noise, which is expected downtown when you're literally steps from Pike Place Market. When my upstairs neighbors got loud, though, the lobby looked into it and quieted things down. I'll definitely stay at the Palihotel again when I'm back in town.

The room was spacious and clean, and that waterfall shower head was amazing. The only thing we missed was a microwave, the one negative for us. We were visiting Seattle for the first time over the MLK holiday weekend, and the hotel was cute and vintage, within easy walking distance of Pike Place Market. Christopher made check-in a great experience, greeting us warmly, being super friendly, and suggesting tourist attractions and restaurants. At checkout, Andrew was extremely helpful in correcting a system error with the AAA fees/discount processing. Thanks to them both. We'd consider returning! :)
