The staff made extra effort to help me feel comfortable with my mobility issues, and check-in was easy. My first room had a heating problem, but they quickly moved me to another one. The building is old, though my room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. I heard the breakfast is satisfying. It's very convenient for UW MEDICAL, and for the price, a great value.

The apartment has seen better days, and the rooms could use fresh paint and new carpet. It was a bit shabby, though it seemed like they were keeping prices down. One odd thing: the kitchen had no dishes, silverware, pots, or pans. Maybe those are available if you ask, but we didn't check. Breakfast was decent, though some protein options like yogurt or eggs would have been welcome. The coffee was about what you'd expect, not great. It was a fine place to crash and start the day with a free breakfast. UW station is about a 20-minute walk, which is a decent trek but doable.

The room, bed, and location were good, but a couple of the amenities weren't. Since new management took over, they lost a few parking spots to the bank next door. The man on duty said there were enough spaces for the rooms, but that only works if every space has one vehicle. One car had a trailer attached and blocked several nearby spots. They should have been told to park somewhere else along the side road. Parking here is terrible. The complimentary breakfast under the new management is stocked with generic products, and I can taste the difference. It isn't very good.

It felt like a Seinfeld episode. The coffee was good, at least, but just about everything else went badly. When I arrived, nobody was at the counter. I called out and rang the bell, but no one came. I finally called the hotel, and someone showed up about seven minutes later. The sheets were dirty, and I had to choose the cleanest of four pillows. The shower curtain had stains that looked like blood, and the room smelled like a homeless man had been squatting there for days while smoking cigarettes. The orange juice machine dispensed water, and the flame canisters meant to keep the sausage warm were out. In the morning I tried to tell the front desk clerk what had happened, but he said he was too busy. He heard me anyway.
