University Motel Suites

Our king suite was roomy, clean, and comfortable, with free covered parking and friendly desk staff. The full kitchen had plates, pots and pans, a toaster, coffee maker, fridge, oven, stove, and microwave, so it would work well for a longer stay. The old building and decor felt charming to me. The checkout tax was a surprise and added about $20, though I’m sure that applies wherever you stay here. I think it’s a gem, but it may not suit everyone.

It was surprisingly like having a two-bedroom apartment in the city, and it was very clean, not what I’d expect from a place called a motel. The bedroom was a decent size, as were the dining and living rooms, and there’s a full kitchen. The bathroom is old-style but still pretty awesome. An older lady runs the place. I’d come back if I needed to stay in Seattle, though nearly $200 for one night is a little spendy.

We stayed one night before an early event, and the suite was massive, with a separate bedroom, large kitchen, and dining table. The building and decor are visibly aging, but the owner seems to care about keeping everything in good condition. There’s garage parking through the alley and plenty of food within walking distance. If independent motels make you wary, this is a solid option. It’s a bit old, but otherwise I have no complaints.

The rooms are spacious, the kitchens are great, and for what you get, the price is hard to beat. My family is in town and has had nothing but good things to say. I’d recommend this motel to anyone wanting a large room in the heart of the udistrict without spending a lot.
