Sebastian Saltwater Lodge

Allergy alert: this really isn’t a place to come if you have allergies. We were told that everything comes premade in a bag, so there’s very little room to change a dish. The prices are what you’d expect from a chef-run kitchen, which made that disappointing. My server seemed grumpy about adjusting my order and was very curt, almost rude.

We had several meals at the on-site restaurant, and the food was very good. The place had a fun feel and the service was great. We especially liked the Conch Fritters, with lots of conch, along with the Cauliflower Bites and Shrimp and Grits. We spent the weekend at Sebastian Saltwater Marina Lodge. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it was a nice extra. Having the boat dock just outside the back door was handy, and the sunrise was amazing. The staff were super accommodating.

The restaurant’s food and service are fantastic. If you can, ask for Melissa to wait on your table.

I found this restaurant through a Facebook post on our town page, and it turned out to be a lovely surprise. The menu is fantastic, the service was wonderful, and it felt a little nicer than most places around here. Tommy took great care of us. It may be worth reserving a table, since you could otherwise have a bit of a wait. The buffalo cauliflower was so good. My husband loved his fish tacos, especially with the mango habanero sauce left on, since that’s one of his favorite sauces. I had the Islamorada chicken, which was delicious, though there was a lot of it. We liked the coconut creme brulee too. We love most of the places in our small town, but this one’s now at the top of our list.
